UnMode is a powerful human rights organization achieving systemic changes in the international laws and legislation of the countries where it is present through an effective partnership with other CSOs and through improving the performance of all its members.
UnMode has associate (non-voting) members and full (voting) members. The supreme governing body of our network is the General Meeting. The General Meeting defines the general areas of UnMode activities, approves the annual reports of its governing bodies, elects the Board, and introduces changes in the constituent documents of the organization.
The Board accepts new members, approves the strategies developed by the General Meeting, ensures general control over the financial and economic activities of the network, appoints the Executive Director, approves annual financial and program reports, adopts plans for the coming year, and is accountable to the General Meeting.
The Secretariat is headed by the Executive Director, who is responsible for the financial and economic performance of the network and is accountable to the Board. Members of the Secretariat are responsible for certain areas of activities and are accountable to the Executive Director.
Human history began with an act of disobedience and it is not unlikely that it will be terminated by an act of obedience.
Erich FrommToday, UnMode, along with the whole world, is guided by the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is the responsibility of governments and, ultimately, of the humankind to make those ambitious goals a reality. However, without numerous small contributions by civil society organizations and even individuals the 2030 Agenda as well as the 17 SDGs will only remain a great theory.
Focusing on the SDGs allows us reflecting on the effective cooperation of the network with other stakeholders, demonstrating the value of its activities and smart use of resources as well as its commitment to the shared global values.
When holding a strategic planning session, the members of our network were able to coordinate the UnMode goals and objectives with the global SDGs.
“Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.”
“Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls – eliminate all forms of violence and exploitation against women and girls.”
"Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels"
All the Sustainable Development Goals mentioned above were included in the UnMode Strategic Plan for 2021-2024.
