To share the approaches to security and civic activity and discuss the development of alternative forms of financing of human rights work - on February 27, Unmode took part in the webinar “Activism in the diaspora: difficulties and opportunities” prepared by Human Rights in China (HRIC).
The key message for the webinar is to talk about how the diasporas from other authoritarian states are self-organized, to share the successes and failures of those who, due to political persecution, were forced to leave their country.
Experts discussed the importance of changing the context in the political environment, the level of supervision and activism of civil society, including sharing the experience of civil society in China, to talk about “diasporas”.
“To get acquainted with this experience, it seems to us, it will be useful to all participants in the project, since the problems that we will discuss can affect any part of civil society, both within the country and beyond,” the organizers say.
UnMode thanks dear experts for the time, attention and relevant information on the webinar.
