«Support. Don’t punish»

June 26 is a significant day for the international human rights community and, of course, for Unmode.

On June 26, dozens of actions of the "Support. Don't punish" ("Support, not punishment"). This campaign is fighting for the drug policy to be based on health protection and human rights. Activists take to the streets of cities to publicly protest against the cruel and senseless state policy against people who use drugs. On this day, UnMode once again draws the attention of the international community to the fact that the so-called war on drugs has been waged for many decades as a war on people. The war is against people, not drugs.

On June 26, 1945, in San Francisco, representatives of 50 states signed the UN Charter.

On December 12, 1997, in its resolution 52/149, the UN General Assembly declared June 26 the International Day of the United Nations in Support of Victims of Torture. June 26 provides an opportunity to call on all stakeholders, including UN Member States, civil society and individuals in all parts of the globe to unite in support of hundreds of thousands of people around the world who have been victims of torture, and those who are being tortured to this day.
